Techniques aimed at restoring normal spinal motion
There are many different techniques aimed at restoring normal spinal motion and the traditional manual chiropractic adjustment is just one of them. It involves the chiropractor placing their hands on the restricted segment, normally using the bone as a contact point to allow for a short thrust to be applied in a specific direction. The patient may feel and hear a 'pop' in the joint when it releases. The end result is less restriction and less pain felt in the involved joint complex.
